Chinese Refugee Posters
In my typographic studies, I explored the concept of type as both expression and information. By creating type-based designs, the message can become the focal point of the piece. This poster duo aims to reach Chinese refugees and increase the COVID-19 vaccination rate within their community. Amidst the pandemic, the rise in hate crimes against Asian Americans has led many to avoid vaccination. This poster series emphasizes the benefits of the vaccine and promotes the Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum (APIAHF) COVID-19 information sheets. These sheets provide details on safe vaccination sites, vaccine infographics and statistics, and organizations that support Asian Americans. Designed to educate and persuade, this project combines typography and imagery to effectively communicate and highlight this important issue. Below is my process book for this project.
